Lower City is a place where time definitely goes slower, and without having to rush, you can appreciate the magnificent architecture of the 18th and 19th century, beautifully revitalized buildings and breathtaking landscapes and 17th-century bastions over the Motława outlet.
An amazing attraction of the Lower Town is sightseeing Gdańsk from the water, which also allows you to avoid crowds of tourists. Numerous outlets of the Motława River give the opportunity to start the adventure from the aforementioned bastions surrounding the entire Downtown, through the port area, up to the Long Embankment, where the panorama of the city is very impressive.
This part of Gdańsk has a remarkable style. On the banks of the Motława River you can feel the unique atmosphere while still being in the city center. Within walking distance (max. 15 minutes) you can find the Main Town, the Crane, Długa Street, the Golden Gate, the Sołdek ship or St. Mary's Basilica.
